Yosemite National Park, California
We stayed at the Yosemite Westlake RV Park for 4 days from April 30 to May 3 and went into the west entrance of Yosemite on route 120. The first thing that hit us was the devastation of the forest fire that hit Yosemite last year. Over 600,000 acres of beautiful trees were destroyed at the entrance of the park. The base of Yosemite is full of beauty around every corner and we lucked out because they opened the  Tioga Pass road, that goes from east to west over the mountain (of 10,000 ft.) the weekend we were there. This gave Mary Ann and I the chance to have a picnic lunch at the top of Yosemite Falls but we were disappointed that no bears showed up.
