Moods of The Hudson River

We have really enjoyed our back yard on The Hudson this summer. The fall should be even more breathtaking and then it will be time to head south. (somewhere?)

Ogunquit & Kennebunkport

We spent a day exploring Ogunquit and then went up to Kennebunkport the next day to say good-by to George and Barbara Bush before heading back to the river in Warrensburg.

Our 47th Anniversary...

We left the RV on the river in Warrensburg and traveled to Erik's house for the weekend then headed up to The Cliff House Resort in Ogunquit, Maine for our anniversary. A lobster dinner at Barnacle Billy's, on the water, at Perkins Cove set the mood for a full day.

Wild Center... Tupper Lake, New York

We spent a fun day at The Wild Center in the heart of the Adirondacks learning about the marvels of the area. It is a place worth checking out.

A one on one diner with Tenee' before her travels to Paris with Deanne and all of Deanne's daughters, grand daughters and nieces. Good grief Deanne...are you crazy?

Back to the past...

Mary Ann and I drove into the heart of The Adirondacks yesterday where we took Mike and Erik on vacation, at times, over 30 years ago. A stop was made at Forked Lake, Buttermilk Falls and Long Lake with lunch at the Adirondack Hotel in Long Lake. Mary Ann's connection to Long Lake, besides the fact that we love the place, is that Mary Ann's 2nd Great Grand Aunt Zobeda Sarah (Hough) and her husband were the first people to settle on the western shore of Long Lake in the 1830's.
