Back to the past...

Mary Ann and I drove into the heart of The Adirondacks yesterday where we took Mike and Erik on vacation, at times, over 30 years ago. A stop was made at Forked Lake, Buttermilk Falls and Long Lake with lunch at the Adirondack Hotel in Long Lake. Mary Ann's connection to Long Lake, besides the fact that we love the place, is that Mary Ann's 2nd Great Grand Aunt Zobeda Sarah (Hough) and her husband were the first people to settle on the western shore of Long Lake in the 1830's.

We enjoyed good food, good company and a beautiful setting on Lake George at Tenee' and Jim's house last night. Nice shot of the Rehm girls (and Todd) on Tenee's balcony.

A week with Mike & Erik's family...

July 18 to July 26...the best time of the summer!

A visit from Mike, Kailey & Logan...
Mike and the kids stopped for a night before heading to Burlington to visit Erik's family. They worked hard building our little pool on the river and did a little tubing the next morning.

We are settling in for the summer

I put this hammock up so Mary Ann could watch her vegetable rock garden grow down by the river.

Early Father's Day Present

Mary Ann gave me this Coleman Screen Tent to enjoy for the summer and to fight off those lovely black flies in June. Chrissie, Chad & Josh came to try it out and to enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
