.
 A day at Folly Beach...
We spent the day at Folly Beach, on an island, 15 minutes south of Charleston. It is a place I have always wanted to see. The large beach is beautiful, but the main attraction is the pier that extends over 1000 feet into the Atlantic Ocean. Folly Beach is a typical small beach side town with bars, restaurants and gift shops that brought me back to thoughts of beach towns in the 60's

The beauty of Charleston...
You've got to love this city. Mary Ann and I are always happy to be here...it's a place we never get tired of.

Back at the ranch...
After a hard day in Charleston, we cooled off a bit before Mike and the kids had to head back to Charlotte. It was great to have them here.

A week in Charleston, South Carolina...
We are at Lake Aire RV Resort  west of Charleston until the 1st of May. Mike, Kailey & Logan came down for the weekend. We had a full day in Charleston with lunch at Latitude 31, dinner at Jestine's and a horse and buggy ride around the city. But the best part of the day is when Mary Ann & Kailey ran into Kelly Clarkson while we were visiting The Aquarium.

Bulow Plantation... Flagler Beach, Florida
We spent a week at the Burlow Plantation RV Resort on the grounds of the historic Bulow Plantation. The resort is in a beautiful setting full of early American history. The Bulow family built this sugar mill and plantation on the scenic banks of Bulow Creek in 1821. On January 11, 1836 the Seminole Indians burned "Bulowville" to the ground. All that is left today of this plandation are the coquina ruins of the sugar mill.

We didn't get the memo...
Yesterday morning (April 18) over 100 bikers from "The Blue Knights" surrounded our RV site, in Bulow Plantation, to partake in some fun at The Roadhouse Bar & Activity Center behind us. So much for a quiet day under our oak tree.

Easter in Flagler Beach, Florida
We are spending a month at Holiday Travel RV Park, but I took Mary Ann off the reservation for a weekend at Bob and Nancy’s in The Villages, a couple of hours west of us. We also have spent the day and had dinner with Walter & Betty, at The Villages of Matanzas and Rusty & Maureen at The Hammock Beach Resort at their condo’s on the ocean. Nice digs. It’s a nice time of year to have family nearby.
