To Vermont for the 4th
On Friday, June 27 we traveled up to Malletts Bay Campground, on Lake Champlain, in Cochester, VT for the 4th of July week. Mike drove up from Charlotte and Erik's family only lives 7 miles from the RV park, so this will be our home base for the week. It should be good times.

A day at The Sagamore & Glen Hudson Campground
We took Kailey & Logan to Mister Brown's Pub at The Sagamore, in Bolton Landing, because that is where Mike & Barb met. Then we spent a relaxing day on The Hudson River at our campsite.

Back to Lake George
After spending 2 weeks at Mike and Barb's in Matthews, North Carolina we stole their kids and traveled to Lake George, New York  for the summer. We are staying at The Glen Hudson Campground, on the Hudson River, north of Lake George in Warrensburg. We love the site, the river and the natural surroundings of the Adirondack Mountains. Uncle Walt and Aunt Betty showed Logan & Kailey the art of boating on our first day here.

From Memphis to Nashville
We spent 2 days, May 31 & June 1, at the Memphis Graceland RV Resort that was right on the Graceland complex, so all we had to do is walk over to take a day tour of Elvis's mansion. It was very interesting and well worth seeing everything there. Then we went east to Nashville and stepped away from down home blues music to good old country music. We were lucky enough to snag 2 tickets to a sold out Grand Olde Opry Show. It was a great line up with stars like Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Jennifer Nettles, The Oak Ridge Boys, Josh Turner, Terri Clark, Charlie Worsham and Bill Anderson. This was country music at its' best, Tenee'.

Crossing "Toto" Land
We spent from Sunday, May 25 to Thursday, May 29 crossing the farm lands of Russell and Lawrence, Kansas. I hate to bust on farm country Russell, Kansas because it is the home of former senator Bob Dole, but I have to. I checked to see the best rating for a place to have dinner and the top restaurant was Sonic with a 5 star rating. We then checked to see what was playing at their local theater...it was Spiderman 2...I'm sure it has been out for several years. Our Triple "J" RV Park did have a couple of rain deer as pets and lots of barn cats.
